Creating a sustainable and sanitary future for women.
Imagine a future where women have unlimited access to basic menstrual hygiene.
Provide sanitary pads to females who don’t have access
Reduce the stigma around women’s menstrual health
Educate females about menstrual health and hygiene
The Issue
Many menstruating women, especially those in third-world countries, lack access to menstrual hygiene products such sanitary pads. In many rural areas in South India, women use pieces of cotton cloth that they hand-wash and reuse to manage their bleeding. This can be unsanitary and unsafe, and lead to many reproductive health problems for these women.
We are currently fundraising to buy raw material and machinery to manufacture pads at a large scale and low cost. We then will distribute pads to menstruating females in villages of Naidupet and Mylavaram, Andhra Pradesh. We also plan to combat period stigma in these areas by providing comprehensive education and resources for the women.
What We Do
“You can send women to the Moon or Mars later. First, provide them sanitary pads.”
